i had to purchase this myself vs being given one for my review so here it is from a true user. here are the things to keep in mind: it is VERY loud, if making a smoothie for one it doesn't do so well due to the low volume in a large container and the smaller containers aren't available yet, made ice cream following the directions and ended up with frosty sludge not ice cream, made soup and when using hot ingredients it was perfect using room temp ingredients had to heat it up in microwave. I do love how it fully chops everything into a nice texture. Not sure I love the overall price to performance but I have hopes for its greater versatility when the smaller containers come out.
I was beyond excited about this vitamix. I have been making my morning smoothies in a nutrabullet and it left some chunks and didn't blend really frozen things. Well the vitamix would blend a rock, but only at industrial sizes. So if you're making smoothies for 6 people it works great! However just try making a smoothie for 1. Everything just gets flung to the sides and nothing blends. Or it created an air pocket with all the ingredients stuck above it. Such a waste of money. Maybe a smaller jug would help but they're not available for this series.

I like the look of this machine. The blending is pretty good. I do feel like the presets aren't the correct timing but I maybe be using them incorrectly. I also enjoy all that I can attach the processor to it and lessen my appliance stash.

It does everything that I could want it to and I use it everyday. There is a slight learning curve, but overall I am glad I purchased this.

I bought my Vitamix because it was recommended by a friend. This thing is fantastic! One of my favorite features is that it cooks soup while blending so it saves both a step in cooking and less dishes. This never gets put in a cabinet because I use it all the time!

This blender is very powerful but I really dislike the RFID chip connection feature. The wide base pitcher is only really useful if blending more than 4 cups. I wanted to use a classic pitcher for smaller blends. Without a smart pitcher the machine wont operate. You won't be able to use old pitchers you already own. You're forced to buy new and only only "smart" pitchers.

I bought my blender about a year ago and very happy that I did. If I need a recipe I go to the Vitamix website and find what I need. I can process recipes very easy and all recipes turn out great.

Finally bought a Vitamix. I was tired of buying cheaper brands, only for the blender to last only a couple of months before taking so long to blend, not being able to crush ice or stoping altogether. Really hoping for this to be durable and maintain as good a blend as it was first use.
