Vornado® VMH600 Metallic Whole Room Heater with LED Energy Ring

Does exactly what I wanted it to do, and very efficiently!

This was a great heater for the 20 days it worked. In the midst of a deep cold spell, the fan just stopped. We exchanged it for another of the same model and in less than two months, that one broke. The unit is supposed to read the temperature of the room and the heater turns off when that temperature is achieved. It began misreading the room's temp, saying that it was in the 70's when it was in the low 60's. Within a day of that , it then read the temperature as just higher than whatever it was set at, therefore never turning on. The other model of Vornado heater we purchased, we returned because of the intense off-gassing from the heated plastic. We used think Vornado products were quality and built to last, which as conservationists really matters to our family. That certainly doesn't ring true anymore. We won't be buying any other Vornado products in the future.

I paid a LOT for what I thought I was getting, but it was not worth the high price for the LOW performance. Honestly, I have a $28 space heater w/tilt [protect that outperforms this much more expensive model by at LEAST 200%. I love this store for it's variety, but I'm finding SUPER HIGH PRICED items that (50/50) don't perform well. Additionally MOST of what I bought here I've found SIGNIFICANTLY CHEAPER at other retailers. I'm sorry - points are worth the hugh price and low performance.

Purchased in late Nov 2022. I will compare to the now-defunct IR400 in an old room (143 sf) w/ window cracked open for fresh air.. VMH600 is okay. Needs to be next to you. Can dry your mouth during overnight sleeping. BUT no risk of industrial plastic smell. Also wish a traditional bulb was used. LED lighting is bad for everyone's eyes & sleep. The IR400 would keep a whole room warm BUT it might have that plastic smell. I purchased 10 of 'em for warehouse work but the one i bought for myself had the toxic plastic smell so I gave it away. I still use it at my job in upstairs office where everyone complains about how hot it makes our 600 sf space

This heater works perfectly. The heater warms up the family room quickly when needed. Temperature can be set to desired warming. Very nice compact size heater that delivers. Setting the temperature is easy-to-use. The room stays at the desired heat level and the temperature is visible on the front and top. Best room heater that I have used. I love it.

I bought two comparable units. Similar features, size, and price. This one looses on every account. The worst feature is that it’s own heat sensor detects the “room” being warmed up in a matter of seconds and shuts off, so you have to crank it all the way up to get the room actually heated at all

I bought this because a friend recommended it. She stated they use in their garage and can enjoy “nice and toasty” comfort. I purchased and tried to use in our garage. Set temperature to 80 degrees high. Unit stated temperature was 46 degrees. After 45 minutes on high temperature only raised to 47 degrees! Very disappointed! Would not recommend

It works really well and looks very nice, It was expensive but worth the price. Same day delivery was great because we needed it right away.
