I am beyond upset with this. The first couple months were somewhat okay, then it was like a light switch. Out of no where it started losing connection and does almost EVERY night now. I am a first floor master bedroom and she is upset and I wake up panicking because come to find out, it lost connection over night. Super disappointed and would not recommend. I’m tired of having to turn the camera on, off, on, off over and over just to try and get it to work again.

Day 1 this camera had a delay. My child would cry and it would take 5 seconds to come through on the monitor. Then we started noticing the night vision having problems. It will make a loud click, the screen will go white, then completely blacked out and then back to night vision. The clicking sound will wake him up. We have also noticed that it will lose connection even though the modem is on the other side of the wall. We have tried the recommendations on the Vtech website but none have worked. We will be returning this as soon as possible.

This monitor started okay, not the best but not the worst. Worked as it was supposed to (I could see and hear my baby when I needed to). By 5 months, the camera stopped linking to the parent unit. Every single night when I turn it on, I have to stand there hovering over my sleeping baby and turn both the camera and parent unit on and off until they link. We have wasted so much time just trying to get the thing on so we could sleep. I am so incredibly frustrated with this reputable name brand product. I have literally lost sleep over making sure this product worked so I could hear/see my baby from their nursery. Not to mention, it takes forever holding the button in waiting for the parent unit to turn on and off.

Unusable after 6 months

Worked okay for the first 6 months. I liked having both the physical monitor as well an app you can view via wifi. The temperature reading didn't seem very accurate. After about 6 months, it started factory resetting ever other day such that I have to pair it again with the camera, set up the wifi again, and redo all my settings. It's a 20 minute process and makes me want to throw it in the trash.

I think leaving bad reviews is only ok when it’s useful. I loved this monitor in the first 3 months! Simple, did the job… has an alert system for whatever temperatures you’d like to be notified for if it’s too hot or cold, clear resolution so I could see the baby well, 0 glitching like skipping or delays… until after 3 months. For the last month it is a nightly battle to get this thing on wifi, we’ve even put the router next to it. Whatever you can think of, we have done it. Once it finally does connect to wifi, the picture is completely whited out, or the night vision won’t work so I can’t see him. That’s just an annoying hiccup, because I can still hear. But tonight, the temperature feature failed us. We have a heater that automatically turns off after a half hour and we can set our desired temp. I left the heater on 69°, ceiling fan on… it’s 20° outside. We’re going through a major sleep regression and I’m on 3 hours of sleep… yeah, mom fail—I am human. Obviously changing the heater as well. But this is exactly the reason why the temperature feature exists. My child started to scream and when I entered his room it was 75° (we have a room thermometer) and my vtech still said 68°. I guess if you don’t spend $400 on a baby camera it just isn’t worth it. In the thick of the sleep regression, we all need our sleep AND absolute safety. Which is the sole purpose of this machine. Contacting the company tomorrow, but don’t buy this thing.

Good monitor until it stopped working after 30 day

It’s a great, clear monitor but the hand held screen stopped working at exactly 30 days of use. You are supposed to be able to press any button to turn on the screen to view your child - the screen, volume, settings, etc - none can be used or modified. It will be returned. Also, whenever you view your child, I guess it makes some type of clicking noise or a light shines on them bc it wakes my baby EVERYTIME.

Monitor making clicking sound

The base monitor makes a click sound every time the light changes from light to dark or vise versa.. It’s loud enough to wake my baby. I think it’s changes from night vision mode to day and vise versa. I wish I had seen a review about this because I would not have purchased it. It also looses connection from the base monitor and the viewing monitor easily just inside my house. It beeps loudly when it looses connection which is good to let me know but it happens all the time. The picture is good but everything else makes this product bad
