Albeit the color and linen weave was different than the previous Wamsutta Vintage duvet cover I purchased a few years ago (this set is more greige than beige), the BIG ties at the bottom are BEAUTIFUL, as are the slack, ruffle-edge shams. I'm still using the King shams with tailored ties from the previous set to round out the look, as the color is similar, and the King shams for the current set are no longer in-stock.
I love the look and feel of this linen duvet. the ties are really cute. BUT.....one wash and it will never be the same. every square inch is super wrinkled. I even tried ironing the ties, but the wrinkles don't come out. it's super expensive, and just very frustrating to have such a messy look to it.

The description says it 100% linen but as you read father on it says it is 50 cotton and 50 linen? Which is it? Had to wash it immediately because it smelled like old man's feet. Just so-so!
Very expensive and color faded instantly with first wash.. looks like it was bleached! Would not buy this brand again!

While a pretty set, this definitely is a bluish gray so it clashed with my gray house. I love the ruffled shams, but also was concerned having a linen duvet since linen is known for wrinkling. Returned.
Very disappointed in this, At this price point the shams should have been included. The duvet finally arrived yesterday and the gray is faded looking. I purchased it for the look on the site and to find that I now have to order additional $100 worth of shams - I would not order this again.
I wanted to love this. But the duvet gets so stretched out even with the ties. It is just messy. I love the messy look but it’s just too much. I tried for months but I will be selling it.
This duvet and the pillows that go with it are breathtaking! It's 100% what i was hoping to achieve in my bedroom!!
This is my second Wamsutta VIntage Abigail duvet cover in the color raisin. I have the European as well as the standard Vintage Abigail shams all in the same color. The issue that I have is this newly purchased duvet color does not match either the old duvet or the shams. I thought that maybe over time the first duvet faded with washing. However I have a few shams that are still in their original packaging in the closet and this new duvet does not match them either. It is much lighter than the original products. Since I purchased custom blinds to match my bedding and am afraid that this will simply happen again if I repurchase, I am just going to keep it and make it work. Very disappointing especially for the price. All of the original products are true to color.
