Weight Watchers by Conair® Digital Gel Scale in White

I brought this scale just a year ago and was surprised to find I needed to replace the battery so very quickly. Very different from past experiences with other scales where I don’t remember having to change the battery even after several years. The big problem is that unless you have a special extremely small screw driver you can’t open the battery compartment. Absolutely ridiculous design. I have never confronted anything like this when needing to change a battery. After trying a few different small screwdrivers, I did have, I contacted the manufacturer who, fortunately, told me I could be sent a new scale for no cost so I took them up on their offer since other than that problem the scale worked just fine. When I got the new scale I found in order to get it to work I needed to open the battery compartment to pull the protective tab off the battery. Therefore I went to Ace. Hardware where they were kind enough to use the special screwdriver needed to open so I could successfully pull out the tab. I decided to tape the lid of the compartment down vs. closing it with the very tiny screw to avoid having to deal with this again. I didn’t want to buy this special screwdriver since I have never needed it in the past. The scale seems to be working fine but I am amazed they haven’t changed the design to avoid this issue since it seems I am not the only person to address it. However I do appreciate they sent me a new scale without a hassle. Hopefully the battery will last longer than a year but since I didn’t screw the lid down and the packing tape is working I will have an easy time replacing the battery when needed.

Worked fine until I had to change the battery. Need a very, very tiny Phillips screwdriver to open the battery compartment. Who has such a thing? I have a large assortment of screw drivers, but still not one small enough. Such poor design! Do the people who design thee products ever actually use them? I doubt it. I find so many new products with such obvious design flaws (such as this) which one is not aware of until you have purchased and used the item.

I am okay with it but I guess I didn’t read the fine print that it did not have a lighted readout.

This is the worst scale. It will give you 5 different weights if you weigh yourself 5 times in a row and be off by 4 pounds! It is very inaccurate. I actually called conair and their recommendation was to take the battery out. For all the time that would take, and finding a screwdriver tiny enough to fit, it's not worth it. I am returning this piece of junk.

Stepped on the scale 4 times in a row and it was never the same number. It was so far off it was a 4 lb difference at once. Returning.

My husband and I purchased this scale on Jan 4th, 2022 from the B,B&B store, based on the number of positive reviews. We noted, however, that some people had issues with accuracy. When I stepped on the scale for the first time, it weighed me approximately 4 pounds higher than normal, but when I stepped on again it weighed my normal weight, and did so successively. The same thing happened to my husband when he placed the scale down on the floor, first four pounds higher, and then normal weight. My husband said that since we store the scale upright and then place it on the floor to weigh ourselves, it needs to be reset. So, I just place a foot on the scale until it reads zero, step on, and then get my accurate weight. The instructions do not give this advice, probably presuming that the scale remains in the same position on the floor. Since we figured this out, no issues and it has been consistently accurate. My husband even went for a Dr.'s visit on the 5th, and his weight was within one pound of the scale in the office. We are pleased! Hope this info helps others!

This scale is super accurate. Im in the midst of major weight loss (lost 80 pounds and still going) and throughout this process ive checked my weight on numerous scales and they have the exact same weight as this scale (even the doctors scale). Amazing product highly recommend
