I received this as a wedding gift and it's a great rolling pin (though in fairness I haven't owned a rolling pin in years and sincerely enjoy not having to struggle with the sides of a glass cup anymore). The natural look is nice and it's easy to clean. It applies even pressure and the roller doesn't slide down the rod, which is a problem I've encountered in other rolling pins. The rolling pin is somewhat larger than others I've used, but I've found that it helps roll dough more evenly.
I needed this to replace my 46 year-old rolling pin that has developed a crack. I chose this one because it is American made. It is just the right size and the handles feel great. Unfortunately the wood is not smooth. It has a suede-like feel to it. It also came with a sticker attached to the roller which left sticky residue when I removed it. Sadly, I will be returning it.

I JUST PURCHASED THIS 15 MINUTES AGU. WHY AM I UNABLE TO CANCEL THE ORDER?
When you press down too hard to roll your dough the rolling pin locks up and stops rolling completely. This is one of the worst rolling pins ever designed.
Functionally this product does what it’s supposed to do. Unfortunately, I have to sand it after every use as tiny splinters of wood appear on the surface. Life’s too short!

This rolling pin is great! I love it. It rolls easily every time.
I bought this to replace a plastic rolling pin that I hated. So far so good on this one! Does a good job and dough doesn’t stick to it.
I really wanted to like this. It has a nice "heft" and is a great size. The problem is, I keep getting feathery splinters of wood sticking up from the pin. I've tried wetting and sanding with fine sandpaper, scrubbing with a nylon pad to no avail. Going to have to chuck it and eat the loss .
Definitely a "bottom of the barrel" rolling pin. No baking accessories are currently available in stores and I didn't have time to wait for a delivery. So I picked up this utility version. Too light, wood is splintery and batter/dough does not separate. Even the price label wouldn't come off. Had to dust with so much flour, it affected the taste of my cookies. Do no buy.
