Simply Essential Garment Rack
BB&B Customer 11.2 years agoBB&B has another garment rack from a different brand, looks similar to this one. Purchased this one because it was less expensive. It was easy to put together. There are no wheel stops but it doesn’t slide around too easily on hard floors. I’m keeping mine in a carpeted room so it’s not an issue for me. I didn’t see this in the description but the height is adjustable to 3 levels. Lowest height 56”, middle height 61”, highest height 66”. The top bar is 50.5” end to end when the extenders are fully pushed in. When the extenders are pulled out this adds approximately 12” to each end. The sticker on one of the bars states the weight limit is 150lbs when items are evenly distributed across the top (the bars that extend) and middle bars. After I assembled the rack, I then disassembled to try out folding it flat for storage. It was pretty easy. When folded flat the height is approximately 7”-8”. The top bar will be removed as one piece and you snap it in place in the clips. Then you’ll adjust the side bars to the lowest height and just fold in. There will be some overhang with the side bars, there’s a good picture of how it will look all folded up on the website pics. I’m using it to organize my overflow of clothing and also to hang dry my clothes that I don’t want to put in the dryer. I wish this came with a shelf at the bottom so I could place some storage baskets but I think I will find something flat to set on top of the bars so I can place storage baskets at the bottom. All my measurements were taken when rack was on hard flooring.

OK but not Commercial Grade
Clothes Horse.2 years agoI was looking for a 2nd expandable chrome clothing rack to pair up with one I bought at Wal-Mart about 8 years ago. That one was heavy-duty and could handle anything I put on it without flexing when I rolled it around. "Honey-Can-Do was the brand name, I believe. For some reason Wal-Mart does not see a need to stock them in-store and can only take online order with about 5 days lead time. Bed Bath & Beyon had what seemed from the photos to be an identical rack - but is not. The BB&B model (no brand name) is a lighter-duty rack that flexes even when moved around without any clothing on it. It is a little heavier-duty than the black and chrome models that are partially plastic, but not nearly as strong as the Honey-Can-Do model, which if you can wait for delivery is about $15 cheaper as well. But if you need something right away, BB&B is what you'll get.

Sturdy and does the job well
Skeptical that this rack would work, it was simple to put together and holds massive amounts of clothes. Very pleased.
Perfect!
This coat rack was easy to assemble and disassemble. It held quite a few adult coats without a problem, very sturdy. And the cost was well worth it with the discount. I highly recommend this product.
Wise purchase
While moving into a new home, I needed to move clothes down a hallway to bedroom closets. I also need a way to hang clothing in the garage when it comes out of the dryer. This rack really fills the bill. It went together very easily - I suggest two people to do it - and is very sturdy, for its price.
Functional garment rack
Love this! Packing for a trip was a breeze when you can see all items at once. Use it for ironing, too. When you're done, fold it up and slide it under the bed
Definitely essential!
This is a nice quality product that can be put together easily and then taken apart and used as needed, We were very happy with this garment rack.
Great for transferring seasonal clothes to storage
With this rack I was able to remove all of my winter clothes to a another closet without going back and forth for several garments at a time. Having all of my fall/winter items on the rack gave me the opportunity to purge some of the items and hang them by color code and item descriptions (color groupings), blouses with with blouses, jacket with jackets, skirts with skirts . . . .
Good quality garment rack.
This garment rack was easy to assemble and is nice and sturdy. Good quality for the cost.
while the rack is sturdy..it would have been so much better is it had a rack on top and on the bottom. After all, anyone needing a rack needs extra storage.
Commercial Grade????
Really???? It is marketed as "Commercial Grade"?? Of course this marketing phrase is purely subjective to the individual. I did expect a little more heavy duty. But... in the end I have to agree with other reviewers it is pretty light weight and a little on the shaky side due to it's physical assembly design. You get what you pay for sometimes, unfortunately I think this is extremely over rated and I didn't really get what I expected. Fit and Finish is OK, just kind of light weight.
missing pieces
I picked up curbside. It looked like a return because it was retaped and the box was damaged. Put together but missing the wrench and two screws that are needed when you store it. I knew something wasn’t kosher when bags were opened. It suits my purpose but don’t sell me something when you haven’t checked all parts are there.
NOT COMMERCIAL GRADE- Flimsy
Have you been to Macys’s or other major department stores and seen the steel rolling garment racks they use to wheel clothing out of the stockroom? These racks are flimsy metal that will collapse if you fill the rack with clothes. Forget pulling out the extensions, and filling with clothes. This will result in the rack falling over. I’ll return these items.
Easy to assemble
No tools required - its easy to put together and the wheels make for easy movement if you have a small space like us. It can hold up to 150lbs when weight is evenly distributed.
Does NOT "fold flat for compact storage"
I have not had any issues with this garment rack until I tried to fold it to store under a bed. I thought this was the same garment rack I previously purchased that folds flat (wheels turn to side as poles fold down) and stores under the bed easily. Despite the claim that it does fold flat, it absolutely does not. I should have reviewed all the pictures more carefully. The last picture shows that the wheels do not fold down as previous models do. Now I have to find someplace else to store it.
Great Garment Rack
I purchased this garment bag 2 years prior to store some clothing in my garage. It held up so well, there was no dust inside and no smell to the clothing inside. I had more clothing I wanted to store so I purchased another bag. Better to go with what is working.
Moving support for my coats
Great buy on the BBB purchase plan
Very nice solid for
Defective vertical pole
I purchased this commercial rack many years ago and it’s so sturdy. I needed another one so I ordered recently and the quality has declined. The vertical pole where it meets the horizontal one is missing a locking pin so it falls over. This is only on one side. Customer service gave me $ off for the defect but I wish I had just returned it.
Bad welding on vertical pole. - Do not buy.
Purchased two of these "commerciql" racks recently. One broke in three weeks. The second broke as I hanging clothes for the first time on the rack. Both racks fell over because of a bad welding where the veritcal pole is welded to the base (between the two wheels). The racks are defective and should not be bought.

Rolling garment rack not up to expectations
I had high expectations for this garment rack. It looked like it would be well built and give me extra closet space in a storage room. Unfortunately, it was way more flimsy than I would have imagined and difficult to put together. Pieces popped out and had to be put back in by hand. I cut myself in the process. I really wanted to like this but can’t recommend it.
